Games look bad
Games look bad
I received a new PC and monitor. The issue I face is that the games I play appear very blurry at 1080p resolution. My monitor is an Acer XV240Y 1080p display. When playing games like FS2020 with scaling set to 100, the visuals look quite poor. At maximum scaling it improves significantly, but my computer struggles to handle it, and I’m sure it should display better. I’ll share some screenshots to illustrate the problem. My graphics card is a GTX 1660 Super. Additional details might help, but let me know what you need. I’ve adjusted the display to 1080p in both Windows and NVIDIA settings.
Yes, I have tried that. I believe the screenshots don't clearly display the issue, but I've played around with a school laptop over the past few years, so I'm fairly confident it shouldn't be that confusing.
what is considered "unclear"?
the image you've shared has very smooth edges and good color balance.
perhaps certain settings on the display require adjustment to resolve the distortion you're seeing.
review the display's OSD for options that could improve clarity.
also examine custom profiles others have created and consider applying your own.
After some testing, ive found that its something to do with anti alasing, games look pretty sharp when turned off, but edges look very bad and flicker alot. When aa turned on, most games turn pretty blurry, but egdes look good.
