So I chose to perform a complete Windows 10 reinstall on my PC because it was becoming quite slow, especially with games running poorly.
I haven't modified any hardware and all my games still worked smoothly on ultra settings.
It doesn’t seem related to the specifications or GPU since I haven’t changed them and have been using these games for six years with the same setup.
I’ve reinstalled Windows three times, uninstalled and reinstalled Origins and two games five times each.
I’ve checked all game files three times.
All my drivers and software are up to date.
My PC isn’t overheating.
I’ve defragmented both hard drives.
I run everything with administrator privileges.
There’s no NVIDIA or Origin Overlay installed.
My PC isn’t dusty.
I have no viruses.
No background processes are running, and my performance is normal.
Yes, I’ve turned the PC on and off many times since then.
It’s using my graphics card, not the built-in one.
Please help, I’m still confused.

What are the specifications for this system including the make and model of all installed parts?
What are the CPU and GPU temperature readings at idle and when under load?
Is any component being overclocked (CPU, GPU, or memory)?

I own an Intel 3rd gen i7 with an Aurora motherboard.
I have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 with 2gb of VRAM, 16gb of RAM, and a 1tb HDD.
These components aren't important since I haven't encountered this problem before, having used them for six years.
The GPU and CPU are not reaching even 30 degrees during gameplay, and they're clearly much lower when idle.
I never overclock anything.
Thanks.

Information is crucial, particularly on an older setup. Are you running an i7-3770K or i7-3770?

I've successfully launched one of the two titles (Dragon Age Origins), but Dragon Age Inquisition remains significantly slow, even at the minimum settings.

My room temperature is currently 5 degrees, but it has risen to 43 degrees on my GPU now. I need to determine the i7 model and understand this problem started after a clean install of Windows 10. My HDDs aren't nearly full, and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling games on both drives to see if that resolves the issue. I don’t know how to assess the health of a HDD, but they’ve been defragged and are not full.

It doesn't specify the processor in DXDIAG, which might confuse me, so I could try to figure it out and take a look because that would be too much trouble. It's one of the two options you mentioned.

CPU-Z kann helfen, Ihre CPU zu erkennen:

Für eine HDD-Prüfung empfiehlt sich ein Tool wie SeaTools für Windows.

I'll take a look, but I suspect the issue might be connected to Origin. I run the games through that client, and now that I think about it, it seems like Origin is slowing down my PC and causing lag because it keeps crashing. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times, but I'm not sure if that's enough. Maybe installing one of my Steam games would help me figure things out better.

It seems like you're expressing a hope that Steam games perform well.
