Computer MB- Aorus Z790 Elite AX Rev 1.1 CPU - i9 14900K recently upgraded from i5 13600K GPU - ASUS Prime GeForce RTX 5070 TI recently updated from EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING PSU - Corsair RM1000x RAM - 4 sticks of 16gb Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6400 MHz (DRAM 3200 MHz) Cooler - Corsair H100i Elite 240mm radiator (a 360mm iCUE LINK TITAN RX LCD in the mail for the new i9) I performed a DDU clean (not in safe mode – couldn’t pass the Windows pin as Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect in safe mode?) and installed fresh Nvidia drivers 576.52 released 5/19/25. Also updated the BIOS to FLc version, which is the latest for this board. The problem occurs when playing DoTA 2 or Helldivers 2 – my computer randomly closes the games or forces a restart. Occasionally it restarts itself, but that’s rare. I reduced GPU settings and set CPU usage to 95% for both minimum and maximum power. Tried resetting drivers with Windows button+Ctrl+Shift+B, but it didn’t help. Performed a second driver reset and reinstalled from Nvidia’s site. The app still crashes every time. Temperatures stay below 40°C on the CPU and under 50°C on the GPU. I’ve used OC modes from GPU Tweak III and Default settings. Nothing seems to resolve it. I rewired the PSU to the GPU using only original cables, connected via a single PCIe cable (no daisy chain). Most of my troubleshooting steps have been tried. The GPU was installed a day before the CPU, after BIOS and driver updates on the day of installation. All issues started then. I installed the CPU the next day just because it was new. The problems persisted. I only received an error message once – I’ll attach the photo.
