Games keep crashing
Games keep crashing
Hi there,
4 weeks ago I completed my PC build after facing multiple bluescreens and game crashes (WoT, Trackmania, Minecraft, Metro Exodus).
Hardware list:
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600x with Wraith cooler
- MSI GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6 GB GAMING X
- MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX
- Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600
- Crucial P1 500 GB M.2-2280
- Pure Power 11 CM 500 W
What I did:
Updated drivers, installed Windows updates, checked for errors, ran memory diagnostics.
No issues detected.
Anyone know why it still keeps crashing?
There are some issues with your RAM:
DOCP is enabled? RAM speed is set to 3600 and Infinity-fabric-speed to 1800 (manually)?
If yes, try DRAM-voltage 1.4 and SOC-voltage 1.1.
If it works—keep it.
If not—keep DOCP enabled, manually adjust DRAM speed to 3200 and infinity-fabric to 1600.
If it works again—proceed.
If not—consider trying different RAM sticks.
It seems like a memory issue. Perform a comprehensive memory test.
MemTest: RAM reliability checker for Windows
Launch it, enter 2000, create a new instance, repeat the process, ensure it stays at 100% across all instances without errors. It’s advised to run it up to 400%.
If you encounter any problems, your memory configurations might be incorrect. They could also be misplaced in the wrong slots—typically slot 2 and 4 relative to the CPU, or possibly both.
When using XMP profiles, consider reducing some primary timings and/or increasing voltage slightly, such as from 1.35v to 1.37v.

Ensure the request is clear and concise while maintaining the original intent.
Verify that no overclocking is happening (CPU, GPU, RAM). Adjust the memory speed in BIOS to 2133 (default DDR4 setting). If the system runs smoothly at this non-OCed setting, gradually increase the memory speeds to approach the rated rate. Should stability fail at the default configuration, it may indicate Windows or BIOS configuration problems that need fixing.
