Hi Everyone
I recently assembled a new PC, and the specifications match my usual setup.
Sometimes I can play games for several hours without any problems.
Occasionally, games freeze or crash, sometimes multiple times a day—freezing followed by the app closing on its own.
Recently, a full system reboot occurred randomly during gameplay.
In total, this has happened about 10 to 12 times, which is enough to worry me.
I don’t experience these crashes while working in an office for 8 hours a day.
I’m playing CK3 (less demanding) and Apex (more demanding), roughly 50/50, and I’d say most crashes happen with Apex.
In the BIOS, I only changed XMP settings and set power limits to a constant 150w.
The BIOS is up to date, and GPU drivers are current.
I’ve been checking all standard parameters while gaming with MSI Afterburner.
The GPU temperature is around 50-70°C, memory at 65-85°C, power draw between 200-250W, and CPU usage at 40-60%, usually under 100%.
Everything is within warranty, so replacing parts shouldn’t be an issue.
But the main concern is I don’t know what’s causing these problems.
🙁
I’m hoping maybe it’s just a driver issue with the 7800XT, since it’s a new release.
How can I help narrow down the cause?

It might have likely failed approximately five more times within the last hour, appearing especially during intense animation phases.
