People often notice Ubisoft titles struggle on PC due to outdated optimization practices. Issues like the RTX series running poorly with newer games highlight the need for better performance tuning. Many players seek ways to improve compatibility and speed, especially when excited about upcoming releases.

I'm just starting to notice issues with some Ubisoft titles. I frequently play them on a GTX 1070 and usually get decent frame rates.

Gloop just told me about this forum update—it's pretty typical! Many recent Ubisoft titles face performance problems.

Keep an eye on Dogs 2 and a few other titles for the console. My Windows 2.1 version was slow, so I disabled the page file. All games performed well even at high settings (GTX 1060 with 3GB).

The 2060S operates smoothly at 1080p. No problems encountered. *Watchdogs 2, Odyssey, Wildlands, New Dawn...*

With WD2 it automatically detected very high settings for most options, but in crowded spaces I drop to around 40-60 FPS at nearly all low settings. The AC2 didn’t seem too bad since there was a limiter capping it at 60, though it wasn’t stable. The ACB required an initial boot and a restart to reach stability and higher FPS. The ACR didn’t improve much either.

The main reasons players improve frame rates in open-world Ubisoft titles are reducing draw distance for elements such as foliage and using specific rendering methods. Many of these games also demand significant CPU power similar to Intel processors, which can be a concern.

The only Ubisoft title I enjoy is Siege, and it would work perfectly on a potato.
