I don't have personal preferences, but many fans enjoy Pokémon games available on Emulator. Popular titles include Pokémon Red/Blue, Pokémon Gold/Silver, and newer releases like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

I love my first and most cherished Pokemon game, Emerald. It stands out because it offers plenty of post-game features like the Battle Frontier, contest ribbons, and legendary hunts such as the braille puzzle for the Regis or the map hunt for Latias-os. I believe the third "wrap up" game in each generation would be ideal if you're not fond of Hoenn. Personally, I haven't played much beyond Generation 5. I wouldn't recommend Yellow just because it's old and I don't think it had much post-game content. Crystal or Platinum might serve a similar purpose to Emerald for some players. I haven't tried Battle Royale 2 yet, but I plan to try them someday since I enjoyed my White version. And don't miss out on Gale of Darkness!

Have you ever tried Pokémon? Emerald is likely a great place to begin, followed by Fire Red or Leaf Green, then Platinum.

Emerald and Fire Red are top choices for playing Pokémon on emulator. Once the Citra emulator is ready, we’ll have access to Pokémon X/Y and more with true 3D visuals.
