Sure! If you're new to MMOs, start with free options like Wizard101. Once you're comfortable, explore paid titles for more depth. Enjoy your gaming experience!

Elder Scrolls Online offers an excellent MMORPG experience, supported by controllers, with a free base game and abundant content.

FFXIV could be a top consideration there. Controller support on PC. A good proportion of players are on PS4/PS5 too, and Xbox was more recently added. There is a free trial where you can play the game up to and including the first two expansions without paying. It does have some downsides presumably to limit botting. Like some restricted features, which will limit the "multiplayer" aspect somewhat e.g. limited chat, can't join guild, can't do market related things. You can still queue for multi-player instances, or play through the story solo (using NPCs) if you wish. If you ever buy the game and add it to your account, you will need to pay the ongoing sub at that point.

definitely FFXIV, it's also free for the base game and next 2 expansions (with some limitations) but you can play it just fine and get probably well over 500h for free. Most of that will be story based content. Edited September 18, 2025 by WereCat

You can also apply it in WoW, though the controller isn't ideal for casual play.
