Hello, I'm trying to figure out why my EVGA GTX 1060 is suddenly lagging and stuttering in games. While checking temperatures helps, the issue worsens in afterburner where voltage spikes to its maximum during gaming. My card is heavily overclocked with a core clock of +145 and memory clock of +530, plus a +40% core voltage setting. I also have an i7-6700 (non-K) with 8GB RAM and a 3GB EVGA GTX 1060 SC. The problem seems to affect many games now.

Have you attempted to stop the clock and then start playing?

Have you ever unclicked it and then played?
No, I haven't. I'll give it a shot. My clocks are fairly normal, and I've run through it non-stop for about 3-4 hours before adjusting the settings. I'm hoping it might work.

Have you given it a chance to stop running and then play?
I figured out the issue—it wasn't related to the GPU. I changed the game settings from DirectX 11 to DirectX 12, and the lag disappeared.
