They haven't played them either, but you might have a lets play available somewhere. It seems publishers often release weak or incomplete Star Wars games just because the franchise is popular. This pattern keeps happening... I hope someone else has already shared their thoughts.
I support all the suggestions provided. Republic Commando would be a good option—it's a squad-based shooter. It's relatively short, so you might complete it in about 4 to 6 hours based on difficulty, though it can be quite engaging once you adapt to its mechanics as it's an older title. Edit: it actually shares some similarities with Battlefront 2 regarding weapons, movement, and environment, but remains a first-person shooter.
Jedi Knight: Outcast Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy was my favorite, especially that part.
I enjoyed Republic Commando. The graphics remain excellent and the narrative is solid. Battlefront 1 and 2 are equally impressive. For space combat, X-Wing Alliance offers a solid experience with roughly 50 missions. In the past, single-player campaigns often exceeded 10 hours.
I'm unable to play that game since the device isn't supported. I opted for the dark side, though.
