Gameplay slowing down
Gameplay slowing down
There has been an issue with newer games on my laptop since mid-2018; built around that time, most of them run very slowly, while others released just a year earlier perform normally. This is really annoying because I can play one game at over 50 frames per second and another with almost no visual changes, except for a slowdown to about 0.25x speed. It seems the game isn’t optimized properly for hardware with less VRAM, even though the graphics quality itself isn’t the issue. I’ve seen examples like WWE 2K18 and WWE 2K19 on PC—both use DX11 and look identical in terms of graphics—but WWE 2K18 works well on my machine while WWE 2K19 behaves differently when loading. This inconsistency is puzzling. Technical support would be really helpful, as I’ve tried various fixes like adjusting settings or lowering resolution without success. I’m using Intel graphics, though it might not be the problem since WWE 2K18 seems to handle them well.
Well, after reviewing the system requirements for both WWE 2K18 and WWE 2K19, it appears they both indicate the same VRAM needs. Nonetheless, both mention support up to W10 on the operating system, without any reference to W11. Could your laptop be running W11 at all?
It would be wise to provide complete specifications for any performance-related queries, even when using a laptop, including the OS in use.
That said, it might simply be that WWE 2K19 isn't optimized as well for laptop graphics.
