I haven't fixed it even after reinstalling the game and drivers. Changing any options doesn't help... probably I spent 40 euros on something that doesn't work.
Are your coreclock values still between 300-350Mhz while running GTA5? Do you have an overclocking tool? Increase by 5Mhz and restart the game. Previously, my clocks were fixed at 300/150, especially during heavy 3D loads, which caused noticeable flickering. After tweaking a few MHz, performance improved significantly under load to around 1005Mhz. My mother’s monitor displayed rapid flickers, with her memclock being the main culprit. The difference between 150 and 1250Hz created scanlines and instability. I disabled power-saving features via MSI afterburner and used two profiles—one for 2D, one for 3D. I saved settings at 500/500 and 1000/1250 in MSI options, assigning the first to idle and the second to 3D load. When I changed the second profile, it would revert back to 300Mhz. Adjusting the clock by ±5Mhz helped stabilize things. From what I’ve tried, this might not always solve the issue, but it worked for me twice on different systems. Graphics cards can be unpredictable and challenging.
my system runs at 300-350mhz, but when I launch GTA V it gradually raises the clock speed using the MSI Afterburner and adds extra +10MHz. Now the CPU temps sit between 600-700 while frame rates stay consistent. The processor is behaving oddly—sometimes only one core runs, other times two cores are active at over 50% usage.
