Hey. Just looking for an insight into red dead redemption 2 on pc. Been wanting to get it but not too sure if i can run it smoothly with medium to high settings. I got the game on release day and i just couldnt play 5 mins on low settings even menu was messed up. So got refund straight away and decided to wait for fixes. But now i want to get it again but wanted to see if other people with same specs as me or close was able to run without issue. cpu:i5 7600K GPU: 2070 super RAM: 32gb M.2 ssd

I purchased it when it was first released on Steam and it hasn't significantly improved since then—typically around 40-60 FPS at 1440p with high settings. I'm curious about its performance with just a 4-core/4-thread CPU.

For 1080p playback you should handle over 60 fps easily, but @Mateyyy mentioned your CPU might still be a bottleneck. I've noticed some odd stuttering with non-hyperthreading Intel processors in this game.

I thought maybe my CPU was limiting me. It really shows in COD. I might need to upgrade before I get it, probably another few months won’t hurt. There are some decent sales happening halfway through the year.

I experienced mid-40s output when using max settings at 1440p. Gsync worked fine. If your system couldn't even run basic tasks, it might be faulty.
