Hello! It sounds like you're considering an Xbox One controller for PC use since you don't own an Xbox. That's a smart approach—just make sure it supports your gaming needs. The Razer Sabertooth is a popular alternative if you want something similar. Good luck with your purchase!

The Xbox One controller works well for console play, but it depends on your choice. For keyboard and mouse gamers, those are better options.

I personally prefer the Dualshock 4 controller with the unofficial drivers because of its design and arrangement.

I've always felt playstation controllers were laid out better, the only problem was the sticks were just a weeee bit to close together. Of course it's fine but if you grew up with that controller it gets cramped fast! The Ps4 controller fixes that problem and not only fits better in my hand it's just far more comfortable than any xbox controller made! And the funny thing is the original S controller of the original Xbox was better than the 360 and xbox one in terms of comfort!

However, there are now official drivers available for the Xbox One controller, which is a nice addition.

I really enjoy my Xbox controller. Racing games without a dead zone setting can be a bit frustrating, but overall it's great. P.S. You don't need the PC version—it tends to cost more, so just use the standard Xbox controller.

Checks if it matches the 360 controller's compatibility. If yes, it could be a good option.

I’d choose the sabertooth because it offers extra buttons and lets you experiment with it more. The Xbox One controller has an issue with games that don’t support other controllers—just a difference in button count.

The xbone controller supports any game with controller input thanks to the official driver. I personally use it and it functions perfectly.

Since the Xbox One controller is essentially a modified 360 model, I’d go with the sabertooth. The issue is that the xbone requires a microUSB cable to function, which isn’t practical for a controller you often move around. I’d probably choose the sabertooth instead.
