Gamepad for Xbox console
I'm preparing to use my new gaming PC. I plan to play Xbox online using a controller. It doesn't matter if the controller is wired or wireless, as long as it works without needing a cord or charging station.
Xbox 360, One, and Series controllers function similarly across Windows, aside from the connection cable type. They all rely on the Xinput API, which comes pre-installed and widely supported in most games from the past 15-17 years. This means you should be able to use any of them in nearly any modern game without issues, including proper button prompts. The original Xbox controller, however, may not work natively on Windows without additional modifications, making it unnecessary for a straightforward plug-and-play setup.
