For open-world titles that don’t strain your CPU, consider trying MGS – it’s highly efficient. GTA also performs impressively due to its optimization. Adjusting distance scaling in The Witcher 3 could further improve performance.

I thought GTA V required a lot of processing power.

Without any alterations, certain modifications could strain the CPU while others may have minimal impact. The RPG category offers a wide variety of titles to explore.

It works well with most of your processors, and it handles patches smoothly on a slow Athlon X4 860K at about 60 frames per second.

When you have a solid cooler, it helps a little, though you're still okay playing most games. Just keep an eye on the heat because those components get very hot.

I realized your first comment was completely off base about the CPU specs. This machine can handle pretty much any game or application. Just tweak a few demanding options such as draw distance and shadows. With a 980 Ti, using Nvidia DSR to 1440p on a 1080p screen works well if you have the right panel.

GTA V performs well on an i3, so your FX 8300 should easily maintain a consistent 60 fps. Avoid increasing advanced settings—they can strain the CPU—and run grass at medium or low instead of ultra to keep performance stable.
