You just received Star Craft 2 and spent the day downloading it using Australia's latest internet speed. The game prompts you to restart for a patch update, even though it's already up to date. It keeps asking to restart, but the patch doesn't appear to fix the issue, and the problem resurfaces each time you launch the game. You're using version 2.1.6.32540, which is the latest available, but the download stops and the automatic update feature isn't working. I've restarted, reinstalled the game, but nothing has changed.

May be a firewall problem? Are you using the Battle Net launcher? You may have to re install becasue the bnet launcher is a bit glitchy sometimes. You may be able to find where the patches are installed and remove them and re install all the patches as well. Good luck man, I love sc2, its a great game don't let this problem put a sour taste in your mouth!

Yeah – I made sure all my firewalls were secure. It turns out the download was cut off before it could finish properly because of the weak internet connection, which likely messed up the files. I cleared the installation and restarted it. Now it’s running smoothly – though I’m still getting about 200KB/s, so the textures haven’t fully downloaded yet since I restarted yesterday. I’m really enjoying the game. I was frustrated with Blizzard, but after figuring it out, I realized the issue was my internet, not the company. Please send me to Canada!
