I recently purchased the full Tomb Raider collection on Steam and wanted to try Shadow of the Tomb Raider. However, when launching the game in DirectX 12 mode, it would randomly crash after a short while, displaying "Out of resources." A workaround I discovered was avoiding DirectX 12 and using the game without it, which allowed me to play with RTX on my new PC. Could anyone suggest a solution to this issue? My system specs are: Ryzen 5 3600 (stock), Gigabyte RTX 2060 Super (stock), and 16 GB 3600MHz RAM.

I remember some problems RTX experienced in that game. Check the drivers first; if that doesn’t resolve it, just stay away from RTX.

The updates for the drivers appeared to resolve the issue I faced. Thanks a lot!

Make sure to eliminate GeForce Experience, as it often leads to numerous unexpected problems and is generally unnecessary bloat.
