You're experiencing random crashes in Watch Dogs 2 without any error messages. The issue seems to be related to system instability after installing updated graphics drivers. It's good that you've cleaned the installation. Your hardware specs are noted—i7-7700K, 5GHz CPU, 2 GTX 1080 graphics, 32GB RAM at 4000MHz in SLi. Consider checking for system updates, running a stability test, or trying a different graphics driver if available.

Adjust power settings to high performance. Disable PCI Express link power. If it doesn’t work, search for "event viewer" in the type section, then custom views, admin events, and check the error ID. It should function correctly.

I’ll give it a shot this evening and will let you know the outcome. I’m comfortable with the event viewer and haven’t used it in a while—thanks for the reminder!
