Game Trouble in GTA V
Game Trouble in GTA V
Hello, yesterday I downloaded and set up the non-Steam version of GTA V for my PC. However, it’s completely unplayable—I consistently see under 15 frames per second, which is really frustrating. Despite my CPU and GPU (fx-8370 & R9 290) showing very low usage, my GPU stays mostly idle with only small spikes up to 50%. The core clocks on my R9 290 are just around 300 MHz and remain idle. Other games are running smoothly, but GTA V seems to have unique issues. I’ve tried reinstalling, moving it to a different drive, adjusting graphics settings, changing CPU clock speeds, updating drivers, checking for Bitdefender interference, and even prioritizing it in Task Manager. Nothing works. Rockstar support is taking too long. Could you help?
It looks normal, the HDD shouldn't be there because GTA V is running on a second SSD. Just notice that performance isn't at full capacity while GTA V is running.
Adjust your system preferences and verify the PC isn't in Power Saving Mode.
