I recently assembled a new computer and became interested in overclocking. A few weeks later, I attempted to increase the clock speed of my Ryzen 3 1200 CPU from 3100 ghz to 3800 ghz and adjusted the voltage from 1.0v to 1.3v. After running performance tests and benchmarks, I wanted to check stability and functionality. For roughly two weeks, everything functioned properly until I began experiencing random stuttering in games. I tested various titles to determine if the issue was related to my internet connection or the game servers. The stuttering occurred consistently across all games, with FPS and ping remaining normal; it seemed to stem from the game or hardware itself. The episodes lasted about 5 to 10 seconds and happened roughly every 5 to 10 minutes. I’ve searched for solutions but haven’t found a fix yet. Please let me know if you need further guidance. Thank you for reading.

which kind of performance check was performed? observed cpu/gpu heat and consumption while playing, possible overheating limiting performance.

I performed a stress test with prime 95 and compared it to cinebench. During gameplay, I believe the CPU reaches up to 50 or 60°C, though I haven’t checked yet. The outside of the case isn’t hot at all—it’s just barely warm, which suggests the CPU is handling it, not the GPU. I’m still unsure about how this works.

I should mention that during the stress test the CPU reached 100°C, which isn't ideal—I decided to stop it then. However, in the benchmark it climbed to around 60-70°C, which I believe is acceptable.

currently everything has been restored to its previous state before I made changes, but I'm still experiencing stuttering across all games. My CPU is running at 3100 GHz and the voltage is stable at 1.0V.

Do you have other options to check hard drive and RAM usage? I'm still getting familiar with all this.

for the disk, I'm assuming it's the hard drive, it drops from 0% to 3%, and for memory, I think RAM is at 46%. I'm not in the game yet, but I'll recheck everything later.
