Hey everyone, I'm facing a game crash issue after about 1-4 hours of play. The game freezes and restarts me back to the desktop without any warnings. I've checked everything—firmware, CPU/Memory tests, GPU stress tools like Prime95 and MemTest, even swapped GPUs. No crashes during testing. The GPU temps are normal (50-60) and CPU is stable while gaming. It might be related to the DOCP profile. I'm trying to play without it to see if it resolves the problem. Also, I'm using a 2666MHz RAM instead of the default 3600MHz.

It depends on the issue—some games may crash once, while others tend to have more frequent problems.

Examine the Windows Event Viewer during the crash moments, it might provide helpful details.

I've been checking it, I've encountered a couple Kernel-power error 42, and that's about all. Those issues don't appear frequently during crashes.

The power supply's specifications are closely tied to how long it can deliver energy. What wattage and rating does it have?

It's a Corsair RM750 (750watts) 80 plus gold, but it still works with the 3080 even when using the 1060.

I understand, but since we've already eliminated the GPU, focusing on a defective PSU or motherboard seems like the next logical step. Even though it involves more effort, it’s the most likely cause based on what you've shared. I don’t have any spare components nearby, so I can empathize with your situation.
