Windows 11 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 22631) BIOS settings are P3.20 (UEFI). The system runs on an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 6 cores and approximately 3.6GHz performance. It has 16384MB of RAM and supports DirectX 12. The graphics card is an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT.
Playing recent, high-demand games such as Hogwarts Legacy, Jedi Survivor, or The Invincible often causes audio issues—sound may stop or loop, followed by brief game freezes. During these breaks, dialogue replays in full at once. In single-player titles it’s mostly a minor annoyance, but in multiplayer games like Helldivers 2 the audio cuts out entirely, causing connection drops and requiring a restart.
I’ve tried updating graphics drivers with AMD tools, disabling Windows Defender Firewall, turning off Bluetooth drivers, and adjusting graphics settings to lower quality. None resolved the problem. I’m worried about overheating from insufficient cooling, which led to processor damage in the past. However, running games like Cyberpunk at maximum settings now keeps everything cool and stable.
Some users suggest audio drivers might be the culprit. What are your thoughts? Let me know if you need more details.
Thank you.

Include the PSU age along with its make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this time.
I've observed a significant decrease in CPU and GPU activity, along with a sharp increase in Drive D: (the location of Helldivers 2) reaching full utilization.
I might think the drive could be damaged. Execute chkdsk with admin rights.
