Game Smite is not working properly?
Hello everyone !
I'm not sure if this has happened to someone who plays Smite, but in the past couple of weeks I've faced a problem where my game freezes in the loading screen and I have to open Task Manager to close it and then reopen. It's really annoying... anyone has any ideas or explanations? Thanks!

WD Blue 500GB
Smite might be damaged.
Remove and reinstall it.
Review the Smite Forums/FAQs to see if others are facing the same issues.
Hello, I attempted to reinstall but the issue continues. I couldn't locate any help on the Smite Forum.
Perhaps some related problem within Windows.
Try "sfc /scannow" and "dism"

And take a look in Task Manager and Resource Monitor before launching Smite. Watch for15 - 20 minutes or so.
(Note: Use both tools but only one at a time.)
Then launch Smite but do no play per se. Just watch for what changes.
Then play and continue to watch.

When is the EasyAntiCheatService being launched?
I executed "sfc /scannow" and "dism" and confirmed there were no issues.
Task Manager without Smite and with Smite turned off showed the same results.
I also observed spikes in disk usage, likely due to the "Antimalware Service Executable."
The "EasyAntiCheatService" started when Smite was launched.
Can you confirm whether it's possible to prevent or halt the EasyAntiCheatService from starting?
I can't halt EasyAntiCheatService from starting but what I did was launch Smite and disable the service, which didn't resolve the issue. The problem keeps happening with Smite and not other games.
I always suggest this as a final option. If after checking forums, doing your own research, and watching YouTube videos the issue remains, just perform a fresh installation of Windows. For most PC gamers, we typically don't have many applications and restoring games is straightforward. A clean install of Windows resolves most game crashing problems that are otherwise difficult to identify.
There are alternatives available, but I think it might be better to look deeper in order to pinpoint a particular issue. A fresh setup could offer a solution, though if there’s an underlying problem it might reappear.
What PSU is being used? Details such as make, model, wattage, age, and condition are important.
Did you have extensive gaming sessions recently? Also consider video editing or mining activities.
In the Resource Monitor: watch how the system and components behave when Smite is running versus not running.

I've been using this PC for about five years now, and the PSU is a generic one—don't know the wattage or model. It's around five years old.
