Hey everyone, I checked Counter-Strike yesterday and saw my FPS hovering between 40-60, which is way lower than the usual 200-250. In Task Manager, Counter-Strike was using about 90% of my CPU. I ran Overwatch and Rainbow Six, and their FPS stayed solid. It seems CS is quite demanding on the processor. I thought maybe upgrading would help, but this change happened suddenly. I confirmed the game files were clean, reinstalled, and everything else looked normal—CPU temps were okay while CS was running. I’m using 1920 with minimal settings yesterday, and it worked fine. Noticed the drop only in multiplayer modes; it was normal when bots were off. Thanks for the advice!

Specs: CPU - i5 6600K GPU - evga gtx 1070 superclocked Motherboard - MSI Z97 LGA1150 ATX RAM - 16GB DDR3 SSD - Sandisk 500GB drive (CS and Steam installed)

System shutdown upon restart. Would you like it to run on a different storage device?

This approach prioritizes CPU usage, resulting in around 90% of processing handled by the CPU. Suggest adjusting all parameters to a moderate level to observe the effects.
