Hello there. I've encountered a peculiar problem that's mostly fixed, but I thought it worth checking. I recently installed the original Crysis on all three systems. My main rig has a Ryzen 7 1700 @ 4GHz, 16GB DDR4, R9 290x 4GB, and runs Windows 7. The second rig uses an Intel Xeon X3440 @ 3.7GHz, 16GB DDR3, Radeon HD 7870, also on Windows 7. The laptop version is an Intel 6700HQ with 8GB DDR4, GTX 1060M, and Windows 10.

On both the second rig and laptop, I didn't need the 64-bit patch to run the game. At 1080p, both games ran smoothly with the right graphics settings. For my main rig, I required the 64-bit patch to launch the game. After installing it and setting the resolution to 1080p, the performance was very choppy. Even when I reached over 70fps in the menu, the cursor moved sluggishly and gameplay suffered. The only fix was lowering the resolution to something other than 1920x1080 (currently 1920x1200), though this made the visuals slightly blurry. The game is now playable, but I'm curious about why this happens. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

It's conceivable the game running at 1920x1080 is pushing a refresh rate beyond your screen's recommended settings.

Your frame rate is high yet the game feels choppy, which suggests you might be experiencing micro-stuttering.

No clear method exists to set a specific refresh rate; the game doesn't offer this adjustment.

The layout of Crysis’ configuration settings could be unclear. It might help to review them.
