It depends on your taste. I could recommend free MMOs all day, but if you like solo shooters, Team Fortress 2, Dota 2, and Path of Exile are great options. Portal is a timeless game that’s affordable.

CS:GO offers an engaging shooter with a simple learning curve and challenging mastery. Its microtransactions are purely cosmetic and don’t impact gameplay. The community is strong and there’s a competitive edge. SMITE delivers an exciting third-person MOBA experience, though it leans more unique than typical. It’s free to play, features diverse characters, and is worth exploring. PAYDAY 2 is affordable at about $5, possibly cheaper on G2A, and offers a four-player cooperative shooter focused on crime and heists. SUPER fun! Honorable mentions include Team Fortress 2, Space Impossible (great early access), Bloons BTD5, Town of Salem, and Ark: Survival Evolved—consider setting up a Steam account if you haven’t yet!

Hey there! I understand—playing first-person shooters isn't something I've done before.
