My laptop isn't designed for gaming, so it struggles with Minecraft but can handle Star Trek Online. Recently it crashes after just 10 seconds of launching the game. It also gets extremely hot—over 90°C during play. I’m considering replacing the thermal paste, though I can’t open the case. The specs are: AMD A10 PRO-7350B CPU with 10 cores, Radeon R7 graphics (upgraded from 4GB), 12GB RAM, and an HP Elitebook 725 model. Any advice would be appreciated.

I want to explain the crashes in more detail, so I won’t be playing and suddenly it freezes. There are often colors appearing or strange visuals, giving the impression of a memory issue. In my experience, this usually signals something going wrong with the system. Once the whole laptop locks up, I usually restart it by powering it off hard. This time it didn’t work at all. I left it on that screen for about half an hour before giving up and unplugging the battery. After that, it functioned normally for everything else—general use and YouTube (just around 1080p).
