regardless of what you think, it clearly is throttling. it's probably just a matter of adjusting the settings. check out @unclewebb's post for more details.

This should not occur in 99% of uninstall scenarios. Avoid dubious tools; reputable options like Revo Uninstaller or JFYI work well. Old registry records don’t impact new installations—unclear where this idea came from?

I reviewed the MMIO section but haven’t taken further action yet. Attached are the screenshots as well. Additionally, I enabled log files.

Enable Speed Shift in BIOS settings. Look at the Speed Shift options in the TPL window, click Apply and adjust the minimum and maximum values as recommended. The maximum should be set to 37. Verify the High Performance power plan in the ThrottleStop High Performance section. Remove the Disable Controls option from the TPL window. Assign PL1 to 45W. Which laptop model are you using?

Are you sure the configurations match your Surface Pro 7 2019 i5 10th gen model?

I don't believe I can reach the BIOS settings on my laptop at the moment.

Originally the turbo power limits were 25 and 61 for PL1 and PL2. You adjusted PL2 to 15W, then restored it to 61W. Set PL1 to 45W and configured Power Limit 4 to zero. Adjust Speed Shift Max to 37. Run a log file with these changes. Keep the MMIO Lock enabled. Remove the BD PROCHOT box from the main screen.

Logs began around 4:00 PM. First played Minecraft at 3:55 PM, left at 3:58 PM. Then switched to Fortnite, which played smoothly except for a few frame drops. My computer stopped working suddenly and displayed a short thermometer screen. Temperatures didn’t seem very high. 2023-11-27.txt

PS I have felt and seen higher temps, such as during prime95 testing, but it never shut down like this. I also have a fan pointed at the back of the computer, where most of the heat is, and it does seem to help. My ambient room temp was probably around 27 degrees celsius
