Title. Every time I start a game like Fortnite, my computer's clock speed drops to 1-2.8ghz, which makes playing impossible. I'm using a fairly old laptop that handled it well before, but now it struggles. The CPU model is i51034g4 with a base speed of 1.1ghz. Before launching the game, my speed was 3.29ghz and it instantly returns to that level once I close the window. It's not thermal throttling; temperatures stay around 60°C. Thanks for the help.

This seems to point toward a problem with the chip's BIOS configuration. Have you checked if your motherboard's BIOS has been updated recently? I understand your CPU is a laptop model, but I've noticed past issues where laptop makers release fixes online. Sometimes 60C can be too high for newer chips, which is why I stopped using laptops for gaming.

Avoid using the built-in uninstaller or try tools like Revo Uninstaller.

I've encountered many warnings about avoiding their software, as most of it seems ineffective. I haven't used the uninstaller tool since Windows 8.1. I switched to Revo Uninstaller Pro because it meets all my requirements and also saves my system restore in case issues arise. Your choice is up to you!

The 10th Gen G4 model has a 15W TDP rating. It tends to slow down when under full load and throttles automatically. At standard settings it performs poorly for gaming. Consider using ThrottleStop 9.6 for better control. Check the MMIO Lock option in the TPL window. Share screenshots of both TPL and FIVR interfaces to identify available adjustments. Enable Log File on the main screen. Run a game for 15 minutes to observe performance. This throttling is due to power limits, not temperature effects. Keep Speed Shift and C states active for optimal speed.

The free edition performs the same function, though it isn't entirely automated.

That's what I believed too. Many on YouTube advised us to avoid it, similar to CCleaner.
