I encountered this issue repeatedly in online discussions from 2011 to 2014, but I haven’t yet discovered a successful resolution. For years, I consistently achieved over 160 frames per second while playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011), however, for the last three days, the game has begun exhibiting complete frame drops (<1fps) when I move my mouse. I’ve experimented with various solutions without success. This symptom exclusively occurs during mouse movement, both within the main menu and in gameplay. Movement using the WASD keys does not impact my FPS; it is solely related to cursor motion. Consequently, my average FPS has also decreased below 90 when stationary, regardless of any game settings or resolution adjustments. The only relevant detail I’ve uncovered is that reducing my mouse's polling rate from 1000Hz, 500Hz, and 125Hz to 125Hz causes significant FPS degradation – 1000Hz produces frame rates below 1fps, 500Hz results in framerates under 20, and 125Hz generates framerates below 45. This adjustment offers a potential pathway toward a solution; however, I previously operated this game at over 160 fps with a 500Hz mouse frequency.

Below is a list of potential fixes I’ve investigated online:

* Setting MW3's priority to normal (the default high setting)
* Performing a disk defragmentation
* Reinstalling Windows
* Adjusting my mouse's polling rate
* Using different mice (a budget-friendly model, a ZOWIE mouse, and my own)
* Switching between full-screen and borderless windowed modes
* Modifying CPU power settings
* Updating the BIOS
* Possibly other steps I’ve overlooked.

My graphics card is adequately cooled, and my NVIDIA control panel settings are configured correctly. I apologize for the length of this explanation; I'm providing comprehensive information to aid in resolving this problem! 😉

Specifications:

* Intel i5 4460 (3.2GHz)
* ASUS GTX 1060 3GB (Overclocked)
* 8GB RAM (DDR3)
* Windows 10 Home (64-bit)
* Mouse: Razer Mamba TE (Tournament Edition)

This text discusses various aspects of removing software and drivers from a computer system. It includes references to different versions of the "Synapse" software suite, troubleshooting steps for common issues like drivers not uninstalling correctly, and methods for completely removing programs and associated files. The text also provides advice on how to check for and remove old driver installations.
