Hello, I recently completed a major upgrade to my system, including a new GPU-CPU motherboard and other components. Overall it’s functioning well, but I’ve encountered some performance problems. Specifically, when I simply switch the camera on or off, the frame rate drops noticeably from 120fps to around 90-100, which isn’t ideal even at higher settings. The sudden pauses during those drops are quite bothersome (refer to the video below for an example). Initially, I assumed it was due to overheating, but according to HWmonitor, that doesn’t seem to be the issue. I also tried MSI Afterburner. My system specs are: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, CPU i7-13700K, 13th Gen Intel Core i7, 32GB RAM, G.Skill Ripjaws S5 DDR5-6000, C30 DC power supply, and a 1440p monitor (with a second 1080p display). All software—including Windows—was recently updated. I even performed a fresh Windows installation to rule out conflicts. I played through Resident Evil 4 Remake DLC at full settings in 1440p for two hours, maintaining 120fps throughout. Any suggestions or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.
