I usually play Minecraft with friends and have started using shaders and OptiFine. But my frame rate is still quite low compared to others with similar hardware—like 400fps vanilla or around 100fps with shaders on a 1600 processor. I only manage about 200fps vanilla and 45 shaders, even without a texture pack. I've tried everything: set XMP up to 3200MHz, installed OptiFine, adjusted NVIDIA settings. Now I'm hoping this tech forum will help me understand why my rig is so underperforming, since other games work just fine for me.

The system now provides more RAM for Minecraft—typically around 2 to 4 GB, depending on your needs. It doesn’t show V-sync, so you might want to look into alternatives if you need smoother performance.

I experimented with various RAM configurations. I allocated 2, 4, 6, 8, and even 16 GB just to see what would help. My game doesn’t have vSync enabled, FPS is unlimited, and I adjusted the Java settings too. Still, the performance remains disappointingly low.

I'm using a text-based interface. Can I help you with anything specific?

What type of setup are you using? I'm on a desktop with an R7 2700X, 1650 Super, 16GB RAM, 3200MHZ, SSD, and streaming in 1080p resolution.
