I've noticed a significant drop in performance when playing games in fullscreen, unlike the smooth experience in windowed mode. The issue affects all titles, including video playback, which remains stable. When using fullscreen, FPS falls by about 40-50% and input/output lag becomes noticeable. I've taken several steps to troubleshoot: turned off Xbox DVR, Game Bar, MPO, ULPS, and power-saving features; adjusted DPI settings to override scaling; ran DDU and reinstalled AMD Adrenalin Edition multiple times. My system specs are a high-end setup with an AMD Ryzen Threadripper, 16GB RAM, and a powerful GPU. The problem seems to have started around January to March this year, possibly after a Windows update or the Adrenalin Edition install. Have others encountered similar issues? Any suggestions could help.

Known issues can stem from the afterburner feature. Some users reported improvement after disabling the "blurry apps" settings. Adjust the option to fix blurry apps manually by turning it off in the settings. In the taskbar search, look for "advanced scaling settings" and choose "Fix apps that are blurry." Within Fix scaling, disable the option that says "Let Windows try to fix apps so they're not blurry."
