Game performance drops unexpectedly in Warzone
Game performance drops unexpectedly in Warzone
I'm working on fixing this because I'm not very familiar with PCs or troubleshooting. I own an RTX 2060 Super and an I7 9700F with 16GB RAM. Previously, I played Warzone at around 110-144 frames per second using medium settings. After adjusting the Nvidia control panel and installing the latest drivers via the GeForce Experience app, my performance improved slightly. However, the next day my FPS dropped to 40-50. I changed the graphics settings but still got between 40 and 60 FPS. I reinstalled the drivers in GeForce Experience without success, then reset the PC which restored normal FPS, but it returned to 40-50 the following day. I also tried resetting again, but it didn't help. I'm unsure what this means, but my afterburner shows the GPU at 97% usage and the CPU between 69-100% with a temperature of 66°C. Could anyone explain how to resolve this issue?
I lack knowledge about the setup because I didn't create it. Hope this assists CPU: Intel® Core i7-9700F at 3.00GHz, 3000Mhz, 8 cores, RTX 2060 with 16GB RAM, ASRock B365M motherboard, and so on. Details about PSU, monitor specs, and render settings are available if you'd like.
It might be limited by the CPU... Have there been any updates to the game or Windows, drivers, or something else? These issues seem to have started recently. Temperatures appear normal, but the GPU is using a lot of CPU power. You may have adjusted certain settings—it happens sometimes. To clarify, the game usually runs well for a while before performance drops, even right after turning on the PC.
