I own a laptop (ASUS TUF FX505DT) that I frequently use, now only for travel and gaming. The game I always play is FH4. It stays connected all the time, but there are noticeable lag spikes when it runs on battery. During these moments, the CPU frequency drops to 300-800 MHz. I've tried several solutions already—like enabling performance mode in Armoury Crate, tweaking Windows settings, adjusting NVIDIA Control Panel, disabling battery saver in GeForce Experience, and even using the Armoury Crate app to force turbo mode—but nothing helped. Anyone have suggestions?
Avoid running the laptop on battery power, particularly during gaming sessions. High performance and frequencies demand greater energy, which a battery cannot provide effectively, while the wall charger will be necessary.
It seems the BIOS sets a minimal power level for the battery, and you might want to check the BIOS settings for adjustments.
