Hello once more, this is my final attempt to resolve the issue with this computer. I've used it for a while now, but it's been quite unstable lately. Recently, there were frequent lag spikes, and yesterday something unexpected occurred—my PC crashed and went completely black. A red light on the motherboard stayed on, followed by a transition to red before the light disappeared. This might be useful for some of you.

I purchased this machine a while back, but it always had problems like this. Now I'm really frustrated with the constant FPS drops. It affects any game, even if I run them at optimal settings. I've lowered the settings to see if it helps, but some titles actually improve performance by capping FPS at 60 or higher. I can't recall the exact games, but I remember GTA V, DayZ, Rust, God of War, and Minecraft.

I've tried unplugging everything, using DDU, changing RAM positions, enabling XMP, adjusting MHz, and checking temperatures with HWMonitor. Still, nothing seems to work. My temps are normal, and I'm at a loss.

If anyone has any advice or knows what I should be doing, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Here are my details:
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS
- RAM: 2 x G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5-7200MHZ
- GPU: GeForce RTX 4090 ROG STRIX OC White
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- Fans: Lian Li UNI FAN SL120 V2 120MM | 10x CASE
- Cooler: NZXT H9 Elite Dual Chamber COOLER
- Case: NZXT H9 Elite Dual Chamber
- Temperature: Good
Let me know if you need anything else!

DDR5-7200 performance is doubtful on Ryzen processors; the optimal range remains DDR5-6000. If your software launches automatically, disable unnecessary components. Ensure recording tools like OBS or Nvidia overlays are turned off, and remove any additional overlays such as Discord or Nvidia. Some NVIDIA drivers may be unreliable—consider older versions (around 6 months) or those at least two to three months behind the latest release. A VMware issue improved after switching to a driver from 1–2 years prior. If you use hardware monitoring tools like MSI Afterburner or built-in RTSS, watch for "GPU Power" indicators that can cause minor stutters. It’s likely similar problems exist with Nvidia stats and HWINFO under certain configurations. Have you updated your BIOS to the newest version? Stick to default settings or explore optimal PBO configurations for your machine. Try repairing Windows using System File Checker, and search online for DISM commands related to "Ultimate Performance:" power plan.

No, don't buy other RAM, just load the Expo profile and decrease the frequency manually to 6000. That's going to work. Download the latest AMD chipset drivers and use them. As for repairing Windows, here's a script I made (the latest version is at the end of the thread), it does pretty much what @CatTNT said

I'll take care of it too, thanks. I'll start with that and then move on to the rest.

You mentioned several issues affecting your game performance. I’ve reviewed what you shared and here are some potential fixes:

- RAM speed: Trying 6000 MHz instead of 7200 might help, but ensure your system supports it.
- Game settings: Check if there are any performance options in the game menu to reduce load times or optimize graphics.
- Driver updates: Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.
- Background processes: Close unnecessary programs that could be using resources.

If the problem persists, consider running a system diagnostics or consulting a tech support forum for further advice.

You're encountering performance issues with FPS, especially around 120 or higher. Stuttering is common when exceeding certain frame rates. Keep an eye on your GPU and CPU temps while gaming, and consider monitoring tools like HWiNFO to optimize settings.

I’m seeing results between 150 and 180, yet I keep getting limits like 144 to 120 to 100 to 75. It’s happening across different games—GTA, DayZ, and about 98% of the titles I play. The issue isn’t just one game; it’s affecting most of them.
