We had bad electricity lately in our house, and we lost power for a whole day. After that, my computer started acting strange. Every time I play Battlefield 2042, the PC suddenly shuts down like someone unplugged it all at once. I checked the temperature of the CPU and GPU, but they didn't get too hot. When I ran stress tests on them separately at full speed for ten minutes each, neither one shut down. My wife works on Microsoft Word all day with no trouble. But only when I play Battlefield 2042 does the PC go offline. Even though the power button in the CPU case and a red light strip under the motherboard stay lit, if I press power or reset, it won't turn back on. I have to cut off my UPS battery for ten to twenty minutes before I can start up the computer again. What could be wrong? Is it that the GPU is getting too hot during gaming because of thermal throttling? My graphics card was a 3080 and gets really hot, even past 98 degrees Celsius while playing games. But this isn't new; I've been using this card for over a year now. Could it be the power supply unit failing because of the power cut? However, during stress tests or when using less power, that problem didn't happen. Is this just because of Battlefield 2042? My friends are not having these forced shut downs from Windows caused by power cuts. Here is my computer setup: Gigabyte 3080 Vision OC (not overclocked), Samsung 970 EVO Pro 1 TB, Toshiba SATA 2 TB, Cooler Master AIO 5600x, Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus Team Elite with DDR4 RAM in a 2400MHz configuration, all non-overclocked. Please help me fix this.

Spikes are normal in some games, but less often in tests like 3DMark. Your power supply might be older or worn out. For the graphics card you have, an 850-watt unit is fine and safe.
