Hello, I'm experiencing issues with a couple of recent games. One, Gray Zone Warfare, causes my PC to crash after just about 15 minutes of playtime. After launching it, I can progress through an expedition but then the system freezes completely. I also played Battlefield 6 for roughly 30-50 minutes and suddenly it shut down. In the Event Viewer log, there was a fatal hardware error: a processor core error with a cache hierarchy issue. The machine check exception reported by the processor ID 10 suggests something went wrong during operation.

I used a Seasonic Focus GX-1000 power supply, which is fairly old but I recently upgraded to a Corsair CX650F RGB (650W). The shutdowns occurred on both power supplies. While gaming with a heavily modded Skyrim list, Community Shaders, and heavy post-processing, performance was solid and temperatures stayed normal. During BF6 sessions, temperatures remained stable too. My CPU cooler is a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB, new thermal paste applied, and the case was fully sealed. I checked the cover and confirmed everything looked intact. The CPU is a Ryzen 5900X, which should run at normal temps for this model. I have a slightly overclocked GPU (4070 Ti Super) and ample airflow with multiple fans.

I’m not ruling out thermal issues or hardware faults, but I’d appreciate any advice from others who might have faced similar problems.

What kind of motherboard are you using? Have you refreshed the BIOS? Are the newest chipset drivers applied? Did you attempt to turn off any manual overclocking, sticking to the standard settings? It’s good to verify this by testing, just to be certain. Cache Hierarchy Error might stem from various issues, potentially indicating a defective CPU.

Hey, sorry for the mix-up. Here are your system details in a clearer format:

- MOBO: ROG STRIX B450-F
- Gaming BIOS: 5404
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB DDR4
- GPU: TUF GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

I reset and reverted BIOS settings to default, but performance remained consistent. Played more of BF6 without issues, though. Gray Zone Warfare caused frequent problems—planning to check chipset drivers next.

I observed something unusual on those screenshots. My assumption might be incorrect, but it seems your RAM is placed in slots 1 and 3. For optimal stability, it's generally recommended to install them in slots 2 and 4. Refer to your motherboard manual for specific guidance on slot usage.

It seems unusual—they’re clearly listed at 2 and 4, but the system is showing them as 1 and 3. No clear reason detected.
