Check if purchased items in-game can be exchanged with other players. Similar systems exist in other games for trading loot, weapons, or discovered objects.

Currently using UEC isn't recommended, the game lacks features and stats are unclear. Renting items with REC from Playing Arena Commander offers the best option at the moment. No save system exists yet, so you can't explore or mine effectively. The goal is to have everything ready as development progresses.

Once the game has persistence and becomes more enjoyable to play, yes you can exchange items with others.

Everything you talked about can be accomplished later once the full launch happens. The Squadron 42 episode 1 is planned for this year. As for the Star Citizen fanbase... I think it's around the third to fourth quarter of 2017. But you'll see everything through!

Star Citizen is expected to launch in a beta version around 2017. The full release won’t happen for another two decades.

Do you think timetables are useless and cause negative emotions? Many projects take 6 to 7 years and are only revealed once most are finished. Patience is always the best choice. (But wait, that person over there is still there.)
