Hello everyone I purchased an EVGA 3080 XC with 10GB RAM and experienced a strange issue while playing War Thunder. The fans would suddenly spike to 100% for a few seconds, making my room sound like a server room. It was so loud I could hear it through headphones, and even my friends could hear it in Discord. I tried using the EVGA Precision X1 to manage it, but the spikes persisted, especially at match ends when I return to the menu. I attempted MSI Afterburner as a workaround, but the problem remained. I’m reaching out for advice and hope you can assist me. Thank you!

I haven't checked for driver updates yet. Would you like me to do that now?

Both my GPU drivers and precision X1 are the latest updates.

Yes, similar occurrences appear in other titles.

Not too long ago, I played Witcher 3 and a few strategy games, but it wasn’t that way. I haven’t tried many titles yet—War Thunder seems to be the one that challenges me the most regularly.

It seems the game places a heavy demand on the GPU during certain sections like menus, possibly overwriting your fancurve settings. Would it help if you adjusted the frame rate limit in NVCP—maybe around 120fps could resolve this?

I’ll attempt to apply an FPS limit using X1 (game isn’t supposed to have this feature) and check the results. Thanks a lot for your support!
