My sibling uses Windows 7 on a 2019 Gigabyte motherboard (A320M-S2H) with a Ryzen 3 3200G processor. The drivers are adjusted for Windows 7 since the CPU and board aren’t fully supported. Occasionally, he encounters issues like BSODs during startup, but these are rare—perhaps once every month or two. Recently though, a new problem emerged: media playback stops unexpectedly, with no warning, causing the browser or player to crash briefly after loading. Despite this, other system functions remain normal. He usually watches YouTube videos smoothly, but when he clicks to the next one, he waits through the loading animation until the app crashes. The same issue occurs with offline content. Restarting Windows resolves the problem. He’s tried reinstalling drivers and reinserting RAM sticks without success. A friend and I have advised him repeatedly to switch to Windows 10, but he refuses, preferring Windows 7 because it works perfectly on his machine. ...Until now. I’m stuck here. Is there any way to get Windows 7 back to working condition, or should he move on to Windows 10?

Win10 is the most reliable system I've used, even though it can be slow. Drivers for Windows often cause problems, but Win10 remains stable. You won't need to navigate the settings page anymore, saving you time.

Haha, I’ll share that with him, even though he won’t follow through. Since we’re living together, I remember his earlier Windows 10 version (20H2) was much more reliable than his current Windows 7 setup. He also doesn’t use Revi OS for any reason—it’s a tailored Windows 10 build where many unnecessary apps are stripped out, including some UWP programs. This is encouraging him to think about upgrading and restoring system stability now. Thanks for your time! (Apologies if I didn’t mark my answer. I’ll keep the question open just in case I get more feedback.)
