Greetings to all, I'm experiencing sporadic freezing episodes lasting approximately 10-15 seconds during gameplay across various titles, and I’m puzzled by the issue.
I've encountered this problem consistently in games such as Rocket League, Diablo, World of Warcraft, and Rainbow Six Siege – the entire game will become unresponsive for a short period, though it rarely results in an actual crash and typically recovers automatically shortly thereafter.
Using Evga Precision monitoring software, I observed that my graphics card consistently drops to 0% utilization during these freezes, followed by a system restart. The only reason I'm hesitant to replace the card is because I haven't encountered any other hardware issues—there are no visual distortions, screen abnormalities, or monitor problems whatsoever.
My troubleshooting steps to date include: updating drivers (unsuccessful), increasing voltage via Evga Precision (provided temporary relief for about 3 hours, potentially a coincidence), and modifying overclocking/underclocking settings (no effect).
I’m at a loss for solutions! These freezes are completely unpredictable and lack any discernible pattern, and frequently affect my mouse movement and other running applications before the system returns to normal operation.
My current configuration includes a Ryzen 5 processor and a GTX 1060 graphics card, with no signs of overheating or other related problems.
Could you provide a complete hardware specification? Please include the manufacturer and model of your power supply unit, as well as your display resolution and operating system. Also, what are the current temperatures of your central processing unit and graphics card?
