I recently switched from console to PC for gaming. I downloaded GTA 5 and it works fine, but it keeps crashing suddenly after about a minute of play. Can you assist?

I don't have a physical computer, so I don't have specific specs or temperatures. Let me know if you'd like help with something else!

Your PC specifications are listed in your profile, and the CPU and GPU temperatures consistently stay below 80°C.

The temperatures are quite high. Do you have any parts that have been boosted? Here’s a quick PCPartPicker list for your ease.

I noticed your CPU is running at 4.2 GHz and the temperatures aren’t unusually high—they usually stay below 70°C. I made a mistake by increasing it to 4.4, which caused it to reach around 80°C during games.

I would take out the CPU overclock, as it's probably causing the crashes in GTA V.

The temperatures are high, but everything is still within the acceptable range. I’d suggest adding a better CPU cooler if possible. Overclocking shouldn’t cause problems, but if it were unstable, it could lead to crashes rather than just game instability. The game should run smoothly on the lowest settings. @Lowspecgamer

Save the game, remove it, and reload it again. It helps me.
