I possess a Lenovo V130 laptop equipped with an i3 8130u and Intel HD 620 graphics. I’ve begun observing that each time I power on my laptop and launch Valorant, it becomes sluggish during every update. For instance, whenever I purchase a new weapon or reload a particular one, there’s a distinct explosion or flash. The game freezes for up to four seconds until the asset loads onto my RAM, after which it resumes normally. This issue persists even when enemies fire for the first time, when they die, or during a GUI update. It disappears completely once I restart the game, and everything loads instantly—especially when running in barelt playable mode for optimal performance at 480p. Someone can clarify why this happens and suggest a solution. The CPU usage increases noticeably during those update stutters, but it doesn’t spike when I restart and play normally. Please assist me.
Turn off system sounds on Windows. Stop any background applications you have open. Disable antivirus software while playing. Some anti-cheat programs may be flagged as malware and trigger the AV. Let me know how long this issue lasted and how much video RAM your HD 620 is using.
Checked the RAM on this PC—seems like it's lagging due to insufficient memory or VRAM. The overall specs aren't ideal for gaming.
