Hello,
I need some guidance on what to do or try before spending more money.
My situation is this: I mainly play League of Legends, and occasionally I browse the web or watch YouTube. I don’t use my PC that often.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a steady drop in FPS, which is getting worse. I’m not sure what to do to fix it.
What I’ve tried so far:
- Reinstall the operating system
- Update graphics card drivers
- Adjust settings like power mode and NVIDIA performance options

The problem is: when I start a game, I get around 300+ FPS (if uncapped), but now I’m using vertical sync to reduce CPU load. It seems to work better at maxing out at 165 fps on a 165Hz monitor.
While playing, I can stay at 165 fps for a short time, then it drops sharply, sometimes lagging or stuttering. It usually settles around 150-160 FPS, then fluctuates between 150 and 140, with the CPU temperature staying low and the GPU performing well, even with plenty of memory. There’s no clear reason.

Since this started recently, I replaced my CPU heatsink with a Hyper 212 EVO model because my CPU temperature was high (around 40-50°C) without much activity, which now drops to 25-35°C and still runs at 40-50 FPS.
I also upgraded my RAM to 2 x 16GB 3200 MHz Crucial sticks and thoroughly cleaned the PC.

Here are my CPU-Z results:
Intel Core i7 10700 @ 4588.78 MHz - CPU-Z VALIDATOR
[5fn7xn] Validated Dump by ANTONYSDEVICE (2023-11-30 01:05:36) - MB: MSI H410M PRO (MS-7C89) - RAM: 32768 MB
valid.x86.fr

Any advice? Is my CPU functioning properly?

I’ve used dual monitors since the beginning, no problems there.

The system appears to be completely empty since it's being reinstalled on a fresh OS. Are those specifications correct according to the CPU-Z data? I'm not sure about the power supply unit—I think it's probably a standard one, given that I purchased it from a PCSpecialist sale.
