I attempted to launch PUBG today, and it displayed an error stating the game wasn’t installed. This was unusual, as I’d previously experienced this issue before but not in such a manner. Typically, when I clicked “install,” Steam would acknowledge the game’s presence and re-validate its files. However, this time, after clicking install, the game actually began to download. I investigated online and discovered that relocating the game file to a different drive, ensuring that drive was recognized by Steam, might resolve the problem. Unfortunately, this didn't work either. I then investigated the PUBG file itself and discovered that the external files—like binaries and win64—were present, but clicking on them resulted in an empty display. It seemed as though Steam had effectively uninstalled PUBG entirely. I’m now perplexed about where the game has disappeared to.

Steam usually removes games from your computer’s storage. To find a resolution, it's advisable to contact Steam support directly.
