Game fails upon launching in BioShock
When attempting to launch Bioshock via Steam, the game starts but immediately stops, displaying a message that it no longer functions. Multiple reinstalls haven't resolved the issue. Seek advice on troubleshooting steps or possible fixes.
It handled the same issue for me, yet I used the Steam help file and it worked.
Uncertain if this will assist, but I faced a similar issue with Assassin's Creed 2. The game would launch briefly before freezing. It turned out MSI Afterburner was the culprit, and disabling it resolved the problem. I’m unsure which settings within Afterburner caused the crash. I also encountered the same problem in Dirty Bomb, where Afterburner triggered the failure on startup.
