I’ve already attempted sfc/scannow and completed memtest86 4/4 tests successfully. I also used various custom cables instead of the ones that came with the PSU.

Can you eliminate the custom cables and rely solely on those included with the PSU? Or would it be possible to request another functional PSU so you can use only its provided cables?

I think I have preserved the original cables, so I can test them out.

I also ran various stress tests such as cinebench for CPU (single and multi-core) and GPU, and there were no indications of a failing PSU, although I’m not well-informed enough to confirm it isn’t the case.
It might be that the issue lies with the drivers, given that I have an AMD CPU and GPU and updated their drivers using the AMD Adrenaline app.
I’m just guessing here, but since the games would freeze at startup and my task manager stopped functioning as well, it could point to a shared problem between the CPU and GPU. The only connection I know is through the drivers.
I don’t understand much, so please forgive if this doesn’t make sense.

Typical "connection" issues often stem from power problems.
Check the Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for further insight.
Driver malfunctions usually show up as error codes, warnings, or informational messages just before performance issues occur.
Consider performing manual updates—no dedicated update tools or apps needed.

For clarity, I don’t favor stress tests.
The main concern is that a truly intense stress test could cause serious damage to the component or system.
I wouldn’t expect any manufacturer to push a product through such extreme testing unless they’re certain it will reveal critical weaknesses.
It’s also worth considering the long-term impact of repeated stress tests.
Manufacturers aim to avoid these outcomes as well....
It makes sense to focus on checking disk sectors or RAM, but that’s different from stress testing. Or analyzing frequencies, voltages, etc., to ensure performance aligns with specifications.
It’s crucial to grasp exactly what is being tested, the testing process, and the practical significance of the results.
Still, I’m open to relying on those who frequently use and manage stress testing tools.
