I tried, but it seems the game isn't set up properly and it doesn't function.

You're asking about the command "Run Steam(ingpos) in Admin..." which seems to refer to a specific function or setting in an application. Could you clarify the context or provide more details? This will help me give you an accurate explanation.

Are you certain the cache integrity is set correctly? (Why such a name?)

Sorry, I don't understand how to do that. I'll look it up online.

It seems everything is in order, so I’ll just remove it and start over.

I resolved the issue using OpenAL, though it seems they've already fixed it. I encountered a black screen with a green halo when adjusting settings, which turned out to be linked to QCSAA x8. Now I'm sticking with MSAA x8. If this happens to you, just remove the Hardwaresettings folder located at C:\Users\your_username\Documents\My Games\DiRT3. Your Settings will revert to the default state.
